A friend of mine, Alla, contacted me last fall to work on a new social networking-type site called Swapfish. She and her friend Anna thought to create a site for parents to be able to buy, sell and share children’s toys over the internet with people already in your network of friends.
As a user interface designer, Alla had already created the basic layout of the site. She contacted me for help in putting together graphics (including logo) and color scheme for the site.
Although I am pleased with the work I’ve done for the site, one of my favorite elements that I did was the background. When Alla told me what she wanted, I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to create it, but I think it turned out really well and look at it with pride!
After some months in development, Swapfish is about ready to launch! I hope you’ll check it out. You can find out more about what it is on their website (http://swapfish.com), where you can also sign-up to get notified when it launches. Also, if you “like” Swapfish on Facebook and tell your friends about it, you will be entered in a drawing to win a gift card to Target!
